Tor McIntosh is a freelance multimedia content producer. Telling stories through words and visuals has been at the core of her career since graduating with a degree in journalism. Her experience working in editorial roles in the magazine publishing industry, along with over a decade working as a freelancer on strategic and creative communications projects for media companies, not-for-profits, social enterprises and SMEs, has shaped her skills and experience in creating, editing and managing editorial and brand content, and telling well-researched, compelling and engaging stories.

With almost 20 years' experience working in the media industry, she’s developed an array of multimedia skills that enables her to offer clients a range of services, from copywriting and editing, to design work and photo/video production. She works with businesses to help tell their stories and showcase their products and services. Working with a brand's ethos and vision she crafts custom copy, creates on-brand imagery and short films that capture the essence of a brand's messaging, designs bespoke branded deck/report templates, and manages creative content projects from initial idea development through to final output.

She is the author of Slow Adventures: Unhurriedly Exploring Britain’s Wild Places (Pavilion Books; 2021) and a contributing writer to the Wildlife Photographer of the Year: Portfolio 28 (NHM; 2018) and Portfolio 29 (NHM; 2019). She was a judge for the international Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition (2008/09), and in 2016 was selected by Ordnance Survey to be one of their GetOutside Champions to help promote the benefits of spending time outdoors.

During her career she’s written features for various publications, including BBC Countryfile, The Guardian, the i paper, The Simple Things, Photography Monthly and Waterfront.

Originally from Cornwall, she now lives by the sea in Co. Waterford in Ireland with her partner and their cat, where she enjoys exploring the nature and landscape along Waterford’s Copper Coast on walks, trail runs, bike rides and sea swims.
